Safety & Compliance

Safety Excellence – Our Commitment, Our Culture

At PT Sayap Garuda Indah (SGi), safety is more than a standard, it is the foundation of everything we do. From our very first day of operation, SGi has maintained an impeccable zero-accident record, a reflection of our company-wide commitment to protecting people, assets, and the environment through uncompromising safety practices.

Our reputation for operational safety is built upon rigorous safety management systems, continuous risk assessments, and a culture where every individual understands that safety is everyone’s responsibility. This enduring mindset allows us to deliver consistent, reliable, and safe helicopter operations for our clients across Indonesia.

International Recognition for Safety Excellence

SGi’s dedication to safety and operational integrity has earned us global recognition within the aviation community.

In 2022, SGi received the prestigious Operator Safety Award from the Helicopter Association International (HAI) - now known as Vertical Aviation International (VAI), a distinction given only to operators who demonstrate outstanding safety performance and zero accident records over time.

That same year, SGi was also recognized by the World Safety Organization (WSO) with the 3 Stars (Silver) Award under the WSO International Safety Culture Award (WISCA) program. This honor acknowledges our organization’s mature safety culture, proactive leadership engagement, and continuous improvement in all safety-related aspects of our operations.

Building a Sustainable
Safety Culture

We believe that safety is not achieved by compliance alone, it thrives through awareness, leadership, and teamwork. SGi continuously invests in safety training, technology, and innovation to strengthen our capabilities and ensure our people are equipped to make safe decisions every day.

From the hangar to the helipad, every SGi operation reflects our core belief that “Safety is not just part of the job, it is how we do our job.” Our ongoing pursuit of safety excellence is what allows our partners and clients to trust SGi as a reliable, responsible, and world-class aviation partner.

Our safety culture

Nurturing a Culture of Caring from Within At SGi, safety isn’t just a set of protocols; it’s a fundamental value that courses through the heart of everything we do. Our ‘iCare’ Safety Campaign, a transformative initiative designed to champion our collective commitment to safety, wellbeing, and each other.
The ‘i’ in ‘iCare’ holds a profound significance, it stands as a bridge connecting our cherished values encapsulated in
Integrity
Teamwork
Respect
Accountability
Courage
It’s a powerful thread that also ties directly to the ‘I’ in our name, SGi. This convergence symbolizes our unity and dedication to embodying these principles in every facet of our operations.

With the ‘iCare’ campaign, we’re setting our sights on an ambitious objective: zero accidents and incidents. But it’s more than a target; it’s a profound commitment to fostering a culture of genuine care.
When ‘I’ care about my craft, my colleagues, my company, our customers, our reputation, and the timeless values enshrined in iTRAC, we initiate a ripple effect. This effect results in a thriving ecosystem of open reporting, unwavering support, and, above all, a sense of profound care. It’s embedded in our DNA, and it’s a way of life at SGi. ‘iCare’ isn’t just a campaign, it’s a shared mission that unites us as a family bound by a common purpose. We live it, breathe it, speak it, and act it.

Each action we take, each decision we make, resonates with the resonance of ‘iCare.’ Together, we embrace the ‘iCare’ Safety Campaign as an embodiment of our commitment to each other’s safety, growth, and fulfillment. By placing ‘iCare’ at the core of our culture, we’re not just raising the bar for safety standards, we’re nurturing an enduring legacy of caring, one that will define who we are as a team.

‘iCare’ isn’t just a slogan, it’s a testament to our shared resolve, unwavering compassion, and unbreakable unity.
